    FAQ’s

3D Concrete Printing (3DCP) is a form of Additive Manufacturing (AM) used to fabricate buildings or construction components by using computer-aided sequential layers of materials to create completely new three-dimensional shapes that were previously not possible with traditional concrete formwork. It is especially useful to produce geometrically complex components, giving users total design freedom.

Production rate/lead time of construction can become much shorter as automation progresses. The immense freedom of form will promote creativity and client/user participation, any changes that are required can be implemented simply by pushing a few buttons.  It is more sustainable. The digital process reduces the failure costs enormously.

Our special mixture is produced at lower temperatures which results in a lower carbon footprint due to a reduction of 70% in CO2 emissions.
In addition to this, there is practically ZERO waste compared to traditional methods. This building method uses less (raw) materials which lowers the pressure on our natural resources. It is also fully recyclable.
Sustainability: smaller raw material footprint (no formwork needed). 7% of global CO2 emissions originate from the concrete industry. Sustainability gains are possible. The printer uses no more concrete than is needed for the project and applies it extremely accurately, thereby reducing the amount of residue.

The elements are prefabricated in the printing facility and joined together on the building site. The foundation and roof are constructed traditionally and on-site.

The homes are made with a special mix of concrete. Concrete is a durable material so the houses will be affordable but also very durable. In fact, they are even hurricane proof according Euro Code Standards!

We offer the homes Turn-key, which means when construction is complete, we will handover your key and you will be ready to move into your dream home!

    No! Let us explain why:

3DCP is not a replacement for the traditional way of construction but rather a complimenting solution. We still have traditional work to be done such as, excavating, foundation, roof, electra, water, etc.
Additionally, we are not competing with the regular market but instead we are exploring an untapped market which the regular one cannot serve. Therefore, all jobs remain secure. On the contrary, this will create additional jobs!

The technology is still young and under development, which means each project involves a learning curve. The more projects take place, the more lessons can be drawn.

The rate of production could be increased enormously, which would allow construction costs (i.e. labour costs) to come down. It will replace part of the physically demanding work done by builders. It reduces failure costs thanks to digital engineering & construction. It will enable new partnerships between chain partners. Printing will allow more design freedom because no formwork is needed.

Yes, they are! Due to zero material waste, lower labor costs, and shorter building time.

All electra and plumbing are done through the wall cavities. Only your drainage pipes are passed through the floor.

We are currently offering two models: Robust Villa and Patio Bungalow. These homes come in various sizes (40m2, 60m2, 80m2, and 104m2).
The construction time starts after receiving the required building permits. The actual construction time is in deliberation.
